Angel Locsin to Sell Her 2015 Dodge Durango Car to Help Raise Funds for Mass Testing

What is a modern-day hero? They are people who have made and are making a difference in society. In this time of the pandemic, many modern-day heroes like our doctors, nurses, police officers, and even celebrities are tirelessly helping people.

The actress, Angel Locsin is a good example of a modern-day hero. Some people are calling her real-life “Darna” because of her big efforts to help other people. She was present during the Marawi warfare, the Taal Volcano incident where she volunteered and donated relief goods and now she is again busy helping people affected by the Covid-19.

Angel posted an announcement on her Instagram account that she will sell one of her cars to raise funds. She would like to sell her 2015 Dodge Durango for Covid-19 mass testing. She will announce the date of her Shop and Share initiative where she will be selling her car.

The soon to open Shop and Share fundraising activity will also feature some of the preloved items from different local celebrities. Anne Curtis will also sell her 2019 Chanel Cruise Boy North South Handbag. She posted on her Instagram account that she will join Shop and Share to help buy testing kits for underprivileged Filipinos.

The car that Angel is going to sell costs from $31,000 to $34,000, that’s close to 2 million pesos. She also raised closely 11 million pesos to help the Philippine medical frontliners. She also helped more than 28 hospitals put up specialized tents for COVID-19 patients. Her efforts inspired many netizens. Pictures of her helping people circulated in different social media plot forms.

Her heroic deeds gave her international recognition. In 2019, Forbes Magazines included her in the “Asian Heroes of Philanthropy”. She was able to raise as much as 15 million pesos for causes like free education for the less fortunate, ending violence against women and children, and many more.
