How to Set DFA Passport Appointment Online

To provide efficient service, the Department of Foreign Affairs of DFA has come up with a new system of applying for DFA Passport. The new system requires applicants to set first a DFA passport appointment online. The agency won’t entertain applicants heading to the branch without prior appointment.

Applicants who are not included in the list of people who can avail the service at the DFA courtesy lane should first schedule an appointment online.

Here’s how to DFA Passport Appointment:

• Visit http://epassport.com.ph/set-appointment and fill out the application form with the required details. See to it that all the information provided are true and accurate.
• Before setting an appointment for new passport application or renewal you should have documentary requirements.
• Choose your preferred date and time of appointment, but make sure that your chosen schedule is available.
• A confirmation will sent to your email if the appointment is approved along with the reference number. Click the link included in the email so that you can print the application form that you will bring on the scheduled appointment.
• To confirm the schedule, you should click the verification link within 24 hours; otherwise your appointment will canceled.

During the scheduled day of the appointment, you should bring your printed application form and present it to the DFA personnel. You should be at the DFA office 30 minutes prior to your appointment time. They will not entertain latecomers, thus this means setting a new schedule of appointment.

Appointments set 5 o’clock in the afternoon onwards are considered as rush processing. On the other hand, if an applicant is unable to present during the scheduled appointment, it is recommended to cancel the appointment so that it won’t affect your future application.

Individuals who are exempted to set a passport appointment include the following:

• OFWs with existing and updated employment contract
• Regular government employees
• Senior citizens
• Spouse/unmarried children of government employees
• Parents of government employees
• Incumbent elected officials
• Retired government employee (not more than a year)

The passport will released within 15 days for regular processing and 7 business days for expedited processing within Metro Manila. For applications outside Metro Manila, the release of passports is 20 business days for regular and 10 business days for expedite processing.
