If you think you’re qualified for the DOST scholarship exam, the next thing to do is to download the application form at www.science-scholarships.ph or www.sei.dost.gov.ph. Applicants living in provinces may secure application forms from Regional Offices and Provincial Science and Technology Centers and submit the duly accomplished form and other requirements in the same offices.
An awardee of the DOST scholarship must follow the guidelines set by the agency including the following:
- The scholar must abide the rules and regulations as well as the agreement signed by the parents or guardian.
- After completing the scholarship program, the individual should secure clearance from the DOST-SEI.
- The scholar is obliged to maintain the grade set by DOST.
- It is the responsibility of the scholar to work in the country after graduation for years equal to the scholastic years as sponsored by the DOST.
There’s no schedule of examination yet, but applicants may start filing until August 25, 2018.

After passing the DOST Scholarship exam, the student will enjoy the following benefits:
- Tuition fees and other expenses – Php10,000 or Php8,000
- Book allowance – Php10,000
- PE uniform allowance – Php500 (1st year sem)
- Monthly allowance – Php4,000 (DOST-SEI major courses)
- Additional support – Php5,000 ( for students taking Bachelor of Science in Mining, Applied Physics, Geology, Physics, and Physics teaching)
- Additional tuition and other fees- Php1,500 (for curriculum with summer classes)
- Additional book allowance – Php500
Advantages of being a DOST scholar
Being a DOST scholar isn’t only a privilege, but you’ll also enjoy some advantages. Aside from the financial support, the scholar will also learn to work harder to maintain the required grades. Disadvantages of a DOST scholar
