For new applicants, here are some documents to prepare in getting Philippine Passport:

  • Valid IDs including Voter’s ID, school ID (students), Senior Citizen’s ID, SSS ID, PRC, BIR, and driver’s license
  • Birth certificate issued by PSA or certified true copy of birth certificate issued by the LCR
  • Other documents that you may bring include marriage certificate, baptismal certificate, transcript of records, government service record, land title, and certificate of tribal affiliation

Once you secure all the documents, make sure to keep a photocopy of every document. If you will renew your passport, make sure to bring your old passport.

Set DFA Passport Appointment

The next step after securing all the documents is to set an appointment with DFA. This is done by either calling the customer service hotline or through online application.

If you will apply through the customer service hotline, you can call (02) 737-1000. Make sure to follow the instructions and provide the necessary information. After scheduling your appointment, you’ll be given a reference number and the link of your application form.

For DFA online application, you can visit the official website at www.passport.gov.ph and click the “schedule an appointment” icon. Choose the appointment date, place and time convenient to you. A reference number will be sent through email and the link of the passport application form.

DFA appointment is not necessary for Filipino citizens who fall in the following category:

  • Minors not more than 7 years old

  • Solo parents ( bring solo parent ID)
