“Okay lang matakot”: Gloc-9 Urges Filipinos to Keep the Faith Amidst Pandemic and World’s Chaos

It is inevitable to feel worried these days as the world seems to be full of uncertainties and troubles. But a famous rapper Gloc-( inspired netizens to keep holding on as we face the continuing COVID-19 pandemic.

Pinoy hip-hop icon Aristotle Pollisco, famous as Gloc-9 shared a post on his Facebook account reminding the Filipinos to be strong as we face the ongoing health crisis. He said that while it’s normal to be scared, we must show courage and work hard everyday to survive.

Gloc-9 said, “Okay lang matakot mga Kababayan. Ako natatakot din ako pero alam ko din na walang nagiging matapang na hindi dumadaan sa takot.”

According to the rapper, we should not allow fear and problems to defeat us, and we have the power over our decisions everyday.

“Kahit na ano pang pag daanan natin sarili lang din natin ang may desisyon kung papatalo tayo. Kung babangon tayo o hindi. Kung pipiliin nating malungkot o humanap ng dahilan para sumaya wala nang iba. Kaya laban lang bangon lang lagi! Hanggat buhay ka pa may laban ka palagi tandaan mo yan! Laban lang para sa mga Mahal natin Laban lang LAGI”, he further says.

The rapper’s encouraging words are powerful and seemed to have touched peoples hearts as his post has already garnered over 15,000 reactions and more than 2,000 shares since yesterday, as of this writing.

Gloc 9 has just released his new song with singer Bugoy Drilon entitled “Ahon,”  and his previous message is in line with the song’s theme that life is like a bicycle ride.

Just like his post, the rapper in the song urged others to continue riding even through steep paths and to pick themselves up whenever they fall.
