Showbiz Personalities Reunite with their Biological Parents

Unknown to many, several showbiz personalities grew up without a complete family and some of them were taken care of by their foster family. On the other hand, some celebrities spent years apart from their mother or father. Here are some of those celebrities.

Marian Rivera

Her Spanish father and Filipino mother separated when she was 2 years old. Her mom brought Marian in the Philippines and left the toddler in the care of her grandmother. Her parents have their own families now. In 2010, she went to Spain to visit her father, Francisco Javier Garcia. Marian hasn’t seen him in 7 years before that meeting.

Her father flew to the Philippines for her wedding with Dingdong Dantes in December 2014. In 2017, the Dantes family flew to Spain so Marian’s father can see their Zia.

Liza Soberano

Liza was born in California, U.S.A. and raised by her grandparents. When she was ten years old, Liza lived with her father, John Castillano Soberano, in the Philippines.

In 2015, she flew to California and was able to see and spend time with her mother, Jacqulyn Elizabeth Hanley. Mother and daughter haven’t seen each other for 7 years.

Angelica Panganiban

The actress grew up with her foster family. She was raised by her adoptive parents, Alfredo Panganiban and Melania David. She was finally able to meet her biological father in November 2010. She met with her dad, Mark Charlson in L.A., California. They traveled to Iowa so she was able to meet her grandparents, aunts, and half-siblings.

Julia Montes

Actress Julia Montes was finally able to meet her father, Martin Schnittka, in 2016. Julia was twenty-one years old when she saw her father for the first time. Just recently, she went on a vacation in Germany to be with her father.

Tony Labrusca

Young actor, Tony Labrusca, was a product of a reality TV talent hunt. He’s the son of actor, Boom Labrusca. He grew up in the U.S. and was able to meet his biological father for the first time in 2016.

Lotlot de Leon

As everyone knows, Lotlot de Leon was adopted by Nora Aunor and Christopher de Leon. She first met her biological father, Donald Lee Olson, in 2009. In 2017, she flew to Florida so she can spend time with her father. During one of her trips to the U.S., she was able to meet her biological sisters, Dawn, Myria, and Donna.

She was also able to finally meet her biological mother, Eva. Her mother also had a chance to bond with Janine and Diego; Lotlot and Monching’s children.

Jennylyn Mercado

The actress was finally able to reunite with her father, Noli Pineda, in 2017. She spent the Holy Week in South Korea to be with her father. Jennylyn grew up under the care of her adoptive mother.

Marc Pingris

Basketball superstar, Marc Pingris, grew up without knowing his biological father. Marc was able to meet with his father through the efforts of his mother, Erlinda Prado, and Danica Sotto, who was still his girlfriend at that time. The duo went to the French Embassy so they could search for any available documents that could lead to the whereabouts of Marc’s father. They finally received a letter from Marc’s father, Jean Marc Pingris, Sr.

When the Philippine basketball team had a tournament in Antibes, France in 2014, Marc was finally able to meet his father and stepmother, Francoise.

Gerphil Flores

Gerphil hasn’t been in her childhood home in twenty-five years. When she had a chance to do so, she was also able to reunite with her dad. Father and daughter had a happy reunion after not seeing each other for six years.
