Singer Ronnie Liang is Now a Pilot | Fulfills His Childhood Dream

Remember Ronnie Liang who made many girls swoon with this phenomenal song, “Ngiti”? He was one of the finalists in the ABS-CBN reality-talent search, Pinoy Dream Academy. He emerged as the 2^nd runner-up. Yeng Constantino got the grand prize at that time. Jay-R Siaboc was the first runner-up and one of his closest friends during the contest. He became a mainstay of ASAP ’08 after the search and released his first single “Ngiti” which became of the biggest hits at that time. He also appeared in several TV shows and movies after that.

Ronnie Liang is the youngest among seven children. He worked at a video shop and a fast food store to support his studies. He studied at the Holy Angel University in Angeles, Pampanga where he graduated with a degree in BS Education major in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. He enrolled in a flying course in December 2018 at the Strikeview Aviation Training Center. He finished all ground school subjects in February 2019. It was followed by learning about flight simulation. Ronnie revealed that becoming a pilot was his long-time dream. He believes that it’s always possible to fulfill something that you have always wanted.

Fast forward to November 26, 2019; Ronnie is now a certified pilot. He finished thirty hours of flying time which is a part of his training. The pinning ceremony was held at the APG International Aviation Academy, Inc. on November 26 at 10:00 am. His flight instructors, Capt. Christian Atanacio and Capt. John Corda, school administrator of the APG International Aviation Academy, Inc. The new pilot took an airplane around the landing strip after the pinning ceremony. He wasn’t able to fly though because of the no-flight zone for the SEA Games. He was doused with water as a form of baptism and part of the ceremony for a solo pilot. When Ronnie completes the 200 hundred hrs. required, he will become a commercial pilot next year.
