The Filipinos are sport-loving people and when they learned that the 2019 SEA (Southeast Asian Games) will be held in the Philippines, they were more than just excited. They also felt a sense of pride that the prestigious sports event will be happening in the country.


They were excited to see the athletes in person. Aside from waiting how many medals each athlete or team will be getting, the audience is also waiting to see the heartthrob athletes from the Philippines and other countries. The sports enthusiasts are not only excited about the medals that their hometown will get but they are as excited in seeing the gorgeous players.


The heartthrobs from Singapore are Football player Ikshan Fandi, Swimmer Joseph Schooling, Ice Hockey player William Redden, Volleyball player Teddy Zi Hao, and Badminton player Loh Kean Yew. In Indonesia, they are; Surliyadin Surliyadin (basketball), and Nadeo Argawinata (football). For Malaysia, there’s Jiujitsu player Adam Akasyah and in Malaysia; Badminton player Pham Hong Nam.

The son of the Sultan of Brunei also played in the Sea Games; Prince Abdul Mateen Bolkiah who played polo. The prince is considered as one of the most eligible blue-blooded Asian bachelors. Some commented that he looked like Richard Gomez during his younger days.


Of course, the Philippines won’t be left behind. Aside from being good in sports, the country has its share of heartthrob athletes as well. Evan Spargo of the Philippine Volcanoes is a player for the game rugby.

Alijon Salonga plays water polo, and Afif Sharief or more popularly known as Xyrus Cruz plays Karatedo. Xyrus had been part of some Kapuso teledramas like “Someone to Watch Over Me”, “Pari Koy”, and “Sherlock, Jr.”. Ice Hockey player LR Lancero,


Light Heavyweight boxing player Marvin John Nobel, and Artistic gymnastics player Carlos Yulo are also some of the heartthrobs of the SEA Games.
