The Transformation of the New Darna – Jane de Leon

Star Cinema has announced the actress that will play as Darna; Jane de Leon. She became known to showbiz fanatics after playing the role of Maggie in Halik as Jericho Rosales’ younger sister. She was really beautiful in that teleserye that everyone got surprised when her previous photos appeared. Check out the evolution of her career and beauty.

2013 – It was during this year that she started joining modeling competitions and beauty pageants. This was the start of her career. She emerged as a semi-finalist in the Teen Supermodel Philippines. Before this, she had been known to join beauty contests in San Pedro, Laguna; her home town. She won as Miss Photogenic when she joined the Little Ms. San Roque in 2009.

She also joined the GMA Artist Center in 2013.

2014 – It was in this year that her career as a commercial model started and she was handled by Glamoure Talent Agency Inc. Her first commercial was the “First Kiss” TVC of Quake Overload.

Jane also started attending workshops with ABS-CBN’s Star Magic. Her contemporaries were Kira Balinger, Maris Racal, Axel Torres, Angelo Ilagan, Ronnie Alonte, and Joshua Garcia.

2015 – Jane officially joined Star Magic in this year. She also made a TVC with Daniel Padilla for KFC.

2016 – She was formally launched in the noontime show of ABS-CBN, It’s Showtime. She was one of the members of the girl group, Girltrends together with Loisa Andalio, Dawn Shang, Devon Seron, Karen Reyes, Maris Racal, Barbie Imperial and many more.

Jane also started appearing in some Maalaala Mo Kaya episodes and was partnered with McCoy de Leon in Wansapanataym.

The teen also made a make-up tutorial video with Kyo Quijano, a Youtube vlogger, in May 2016. She revealed that her greatest supermodel idols are Gigi Hadid, Cara Delevigne, and Kendall Jenner.

She had her debut on December 2016 and was attended by her closest friends in showbiz. Spotted were Paul Salas, AC Bonifacio, Ethan Salvador, Rain Salamante, and Kelley Day. She thanked those that celebrated with her in her Instagram post.

2017 – This was a good year for Jane because she got more projects and starred in the hit teleserye of KathNiel, La Luna Sangre, as Lauren Catapang. She also starred in her first ever-movie entitled, The Debutantes. She was also able to join the Now United’s boot camp in the U.S. together with Ylona Garcia, AC Bonifacio, and Bailey May. This is a global pop group that was created by the American Idol Creator and former Spice Girls manager, Simon Fuller.

They performed in front of Simon Fuller and was joined by the likes of Miley Cyrus. Bailey May was the one eventually picked to join the pop group.

She was also featured in the Youtube channel of Eunice Ongteco, a beauty vlogger. She did the “no mirror” make-up challenge in the video while talking about her fascination with make-up. She advised fans to always put moisturizer on the face to prevent skin dryness even if they always have make-up on their face.

2018 – She got the biggest break in her career when she appeared in the hit series of ABS-CBN, Halik which stars Jericho Rosales, Yam Concepcion, and Yen Santos.

She got noticed in this series as the sister of Jericho.

2019 – She started doing the K-Beauty trend and would usually be seen wearing peach and pink make-up.
